Manor Tool is seeking a Production Machine Operator to join our team in Schiller Park, IL. The Production Machine Operator complete assigned assembly, stamping and fabricating operations on a variety of machines and equipment. Work is planned and laid out by others and usually involves use of ordinary materials. Requires on the job training.

Manor Tool & Manufacturing Company began as a tool and die shop in 1959 and has grown to become a first-class metal stamping company, specializing in punching, bending, forming and deep drawn stampings.


  • Receive, understand, and follow all written and oral instruction.
  • Use SPC on first 5-piece control unit before beginning job; compare to work instructions.
  • Use work instruction to ensure the quality of Manor Tool production including safety rules.
  • Identify and locate proper material or piece parts to be used during the process at hand.
  • Safely run production as instructed on a variety of machinery and equipment; follow safety procedures, ensure guards are in place and all PPE is worn properly.
  • Visually inspect production against approved sample for burrs, missing holes, surface defects and other generic problems.
  • Measure and document SPC dimensions and measure the CHECK
  • Keep rejected production parts separate from good production parts. Use SMALL BATCH CONTROL
  • Identify, package, and protect completed production, complete MOVE TICKETS.
  • Complete 2-piece SPC control unit at end of job assignment.
  • Return all hand tools, gages and measuring devices etc. to proper storage areas.
  • Timely and accurate completion of all paperwork and documentation associated with the process at hand including move tickets and SPC
  • Support safety and lean initiatives including LEAN and SHARP by working within established OSHA guidelines and continuously looking for improved efficiency.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area.
  • Participate in activities to increase personal skill level, overall departmental processes, and product quality.
  • Communicate all problems and other work-related issues with supervisor.
  • Maintain meet or exceed rating on performance evaluations.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures including mission, safety, and attendance requirements.
  • Resolve day-to-day issues by working effectively with others.
  • Other duties required to meet company needs as assigned by supervisory staff.


  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to pass company ISO, English, Safety and Math tests.
  • Exhibit the skillful use of a variety of machinery and equipment.
  • OSHA required training in lockout/tagout, hazard communication, PPE use, emergency evacuation, etc.
  • Ability to use and understand all measuring devices and gages including the calibration process.
